Lack of resources, waste reduction, circularity increase: positive examples for a very demanding challenge

The EU had foreseen this since 2014 with its first Circular Economy Strategy and in the end we are: we are experiencing a scarcity of raw materials and minerals, moreover expected to increase between now and 2030 for some sectors such as Fashion, Automotive. Electronics, Telecommunications, Plastics. The EU itself is reviewing its sectoral policies to promote a longer life cycle of goods and packaging, lower toxicity combined with repairability and recyclability and forms of financial incentives to support the transition of companies in this direction: the PNRR - Next Generation EU is a unique opportunity for Europe thanks to the financial resources it makes available for the ecological transition of businesses and cities. To reduce climate-altering emissions, it is also useful to focus on good practices and update national policies to reduce the use of natural resources, adopt aware and competitive techniques of Circular Design, reduce waste and waste, extend the life cycle of goods and promote repair, reuse and regeneration as secondary raw materials. The Round Table intends to share some positive examples and the paths to implement them.
 

How to participate:

After registering for the GECO event, log in to the gecoexpo.com website with your credentials, by clicking on the "Login" button visible on the Homepage at the top right.

Once logged in, there are 2 ways to watch the scheduled contents:

1. Click on the "Go to the fair" button visible from 1 March for the buyer profile, from 3 March for the visitors profile, entered the virtual fair environment, you will have to go to the auditorium area (visible on the map) and click on the stage screen you will follow the direct of the content;
2. Click on the button "Access the content program" available on the homepage of the website for all profiles from March 1st, both visitors and buyers.

In addition, just before the start of each speech, the avatars connected at that time on the platform will display a notification, inviting them to go to the auditorium to follow the scheduled content.
